Jason is the proud father of Julianne, Hannah, Isaiah, Harmonee and Wesley. He also is the very proud grandfather and enjoys spending lots of time with his grandchildren, Emerson and Elias!
Jason has proudly served as the Executive Director of Laura's Legacy of Love since it was founded in 2021.
Jason is the proud husband of Laura. He has raised his 5 children (Julianne, Hannah, Isaiah, Harmonee and Wesley) and now has 2 adorable grandchildren who keep him active (Emerson and Elias).
Jason has served in many roles in the community. He has over 25 years of public safety experience, from The York County Sheriff's Department, Sanford Police Department, Lebanon Fire Department, Lebanon Rescue Department, North Berwick Rescue, Acton Rescue and the City of Rochester, NH Police Department where he finished his time as the Director of Emergency Communications and Police Records. From 2004-2008, Jason also worked for the City of Sanford, Maine as the Ombudsman and the Director of Human Resources for the City.
After "retiring" from government work, Jason worked in the private sector, excelling in new positions. He started as the Payroll Manager for Planet Fitness Headquarters, then went to Cafua (Dunkin Donuts) in Methuen, Massachusetts also overseeing Payroll. He was then offered an amazing job overseeing Payroll and Benefits for Au Bon Pain/Panera Bread before they closed their Boston headquarters. Jason was then hired to oversee Payroll and Benefits for Unispace in Boston. He loved this job as he got to travel all over the country to their various locations. He would soon be promoted to oversee all of Human Resources/People and Culture for all US Employees, also serving as Global Director of Payroll and Benefits for all employees all over the world. He oversaw the Covid Response Team. He loved this job as he got to work beside his beautiful wife, who worked for the Human Resources/Talent team. After Laura's tragic death, Jason found it too hard to go back to Unispace daily, as he would sit next to the open office where Laura would sit. Jason was offered a Director of Total Rewards position for Union Square Hospitality Group in New York City. They own some of the most prestigious restaurants in NYC and Jason loved traveling there 1-2 weeks a month. When Jason moved some of his investments to Maine and purchased a locally famous restaurant, Ted's Fried Clams. Unfortunately, the restaurant had a fire and temporarily closed. Jason opened a 2nd location in Sanford, Maine. An investor has come forward to buy the restaurant, a move that excited Jason so he could spend more time with family and running his other very successful business, Kona Ice! Jason operates all the Kona Ice trucks in Maine, except for Kittery and part of York (covered by Seacoast NH).
Jason has volunteered and served his community in other ways also! He has been elected as a Town Councilor/Selectman for 2 Terms, Elected to the County Budget Committee and Elected to the School Board. Jason served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for over 25 years. Jason has also volunteered at local food shelters, animal shelters and domestic violence shelters. Jason has served on many boards and committees within the community. Jason has proudly won many local, county, state and Federal awards for his volunteer work, including 3 Presidential Volunteer Service Awards!
